Nichola Peter Orat Has Resigned His Position As Munuki Football Club Head Coach

Munuki Football Club Jubathrough the club’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) has confirmed to KurraSports, that head coach Nichola Peter Orat has resigned from his position and duties as the club’s head coach with immediate effect on Wednesday 12th February 2020. 

According to club PRO Mr Richard George, Nichola tendered in his resignation letter late last year 30/11/2019, however the management didn’t approve looking at the transition at which the club was in. 

Below was the Official Club’s Statement 

“Coach Nicole Peter has resigned from his position as the head coach of the club, the resignation was submitted on 30/11/2019 and management of the club decided to sign the resignation letter yesterday.  We thank him and wish him success in his future”. 

However, his resignation was endorsed by the club Management after the club’s 1-0 loss to another struggling club EL-Merreikh Football Club on Sunday 9th January 2020. 

Munuki FC appointed the former Atlabara FC head coach on 15th August 2019 after failing to settle for by then South Sudan National U-23 head coach Simon James Yor who instead signed for Amarat United FC in 2019. 

Orat served in the South Sudan U-23 national team as an assistant to Simon James Yor where they eliminated Uganda Kobs during the AFCON U-23 Pre-Qualification round  in a 2-1 aggregate results. The duo also took the national U-20 in the 2019 CECAFA U-20 tournament hosted in Uganda, where South Sudan reached into the quarterfinals and was eliminated by neighbours Sudan after falling to a 1-0 defeat at Pece War Memorial Stadium in Gulu.  

Coach Peter Orat before his departure from Munuki FC, leaves the club in 7th position with 13 points, registering 3 wins, 4 draws and 5 losses in the 12 games played during his tenure and the club’s head coach.

Munuki FC at the moment is under the caretaker management of Emmanuel, as the club searches for a new coach to take center stage in the coaching.

It should be noted that Munuki FC under Nichola Peter Orat signed 6 players in the December mid transfer season, the player includes goalkeeper Emmanuel Disi  from Nasir FC, Al-Amal Football Academy graduate, Nelson Victor Elia, Akol Geofrey from Tiger FC of Zambia, Striker Stephen Pawar from Amarat United FC, Midfielder maestro Wurube Robert Lopidia from Kyetume FC and Central defender Tutu Awach Tong from Amarat United FC
