Gudele FC Juba management have confirmed that the club has appointed Nichola Peter Orat as their new club head coach until the end of the remainder of the club 2019/2020 season matches.
Nicola resigned from his position as Munuki FC head coach duties on Wednesday 12th February 2020, after being notified that his resignation submission letter was signed by the club chairman.
Orat served in the South Sudan U-23 national team as an assistant to Simon James Yor where they eliminated Uganda Kobs during the AFCON U-23 Pre-Qualification round in a 2-1 aggregate results. The duo also took the national U-20 in the 2019 CECAFA U-20 tournament hosted in Uganda, where South Sudan reached into the quarterfinals and was eliminated by neighbours Sudan after falling to a 1-0 defeat at Pece War Memorial Stadium in Gulu.
Coach Peter Orat before his departure from Munuki FC, leaves the club in 7th position with 13 points, registering 3 wins, 4 draws and 5 losses in the 12 games played during his tenure and the club’s head coach.
It should be noted that Munuki FC under Nichola Peter Orat signed 6 players in the December mid transfer season, the player includes goalkeeper Emmanuel Disi from Nasir FC, Al-Amal Football Academy graduate, Nelson Victor Elia, Akol Geofrey from Tiger FC of Zambia, Striker Stephen Pawar from Amarat United FC, Midfielder maestro Wurube Robert Lopidia from Kyetume FC and Central defender Tutu Awach Tong from Amarat United FC
However it was a harsh welcome for Nichola Peter Orat when Merriekh FC scored against his new club Gudele FC by 2-0 in the week 13 of the ongoing 2019/2020 Juba Local League, half time goal from South Sudan U-20 captain Samuel Solong and National Team Captain Khemis Leone gave Merreikh the upper advantage.
“The Players had fitness problem but i will within this 6 days make sure they are back into fitness and we start getting the most wanted points” Says Nichola
Gudele FC’s next fixture will be against Amarat United FC on Friday 21st February 2020 at Jamus Playing Ground.
