South Sudan Cup 2019/2020 Fixtures Are Out.

The South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) have finally released the fixtures for the 2019/2020 South Sudan Cup.

The SSFA competition department has also confirmed that teams are expected to arrive in their respective venues on 17th February 2020, and then matches will kicks off on 20 February and ends on 5th March 2020.

The Juba group games will be played at Seminary and Munuki playing grounds respectively, while Group B games will be hosted at Aweil Freedom Square, Group C in Renk Stadium and Group D in Yambio’ Gbudde Stadium.

Some of the teams which have confirmed arrival into their respective group venues included El Salam FC Wau representing the Wau Local League, Holy Family FC of Rumbek, while Al Salam FC of Bor, Fly United FC of Yei and Kinate FC of Torit are expected to arrive Juba on Tuesday 18th February 2020.

In group A games in Juba on Thursday 20th February 2020, two fixtures will be on including Kinate FC of Torit taking on Al Rabita FC of Juba at Seminary Playing ground and St Mary’s of Terekeka facing Al Salam FC of Bor at Munuki Playing Ground, while in Group B (1) games to be hosted in Aweil, Holy Family of Rumbek will entertain El Salam FC Wau and in group B(2), Blue Stars FC of Tonj plays Mading FC of Abyei at the Freedom Square. Group C fans will be witnessing another entertaining fixture as Al Gadisia FC of Renk entertains Al Merriekh FC of Bentiu at Renk Stadium, the opening day fixtures will be summarized by the group D match which will be hosted in Yambio when Nasir FC of Mundri takes on Eagle FC of Maridi at Gbudue Stadium

According to SSFA the breakdown for the top performers will see the winner walking away with the winners trophy and a total of USD 3,000, with runners up team to walk away with USD 2,500 and medals. 

It should be noted that the winner of the competition will represent South Sudan at the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round. 

Amarat United FC of Juba were the 2019 winners, however the team did not defend the trophy at the Juba Local Football Association, with Rabita FC winning after beating Al Hilal FC Juba by 2-1 at Buluk Playing Ground in 2019.
