
Juba based Al Rabita Football Club defeated Nile City FC of Yambio by 2-0 in the final of the 2019/2020 South Sudan Cup played at Seminary Playing Ground on Monday 23rd March 2020.
The church owned team Al Rabita FC dominated the proceedings from the start of the game until the end, with Justin Zuma Ramadan scoring on the 16 minutes of the first half while Darius Koffi scored the second on the 80th minute of the second half.

The President of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Francis Amin Micheal together with other members of the board who were present handed over the medals and the trophy after the final.
“We are happy that despite this challenge of the Coronavirus which has led to several things and football schedules stopped, we have managed to complete the South Sudan Cup,” said Amin.
Al Rabita FC who are currently coached by Ramsey Sebit Lumori has so far won the South Sudan Cup for a record five times with four different clubs.

Rabita FC were awarded USD 3,000 plus medals and a trophy while Nile City FC the runners up team received 2,500 USD,
Al Rabita FC reached the final after eliminating Aweil United 3-0 and Blue Stars FC of Tong 5-4 on penalties after a normal ninety minutes goalless draw , while Nile City FC defeated Al Gadesia FC of Renk 1-0

Al Rabita FC will now represent South Sudan in the Total CAF Confederations Cup 2020/2021 preliminary round.
South Sudan was previously represented by Amarat United FC and was eliminated by Al Nasr FC of Libya in a 5-1 aggregate results.
