
The Yambio Local Football Association Secretary General Joseph Apai Arkangelo has on Wednesday, 1st April 2020 reported that part of the roof of the VIP section of Gbudue Football Stadium has been blown off by heavy wind and rain.
Kurrasports followed a statement posted by the secretary on his social media page “Gbudue Football Stadium damaged by heavy rain and wind this evening in Yambio, Part of the shelter went down but cost no injury to the neighbouring house hold. This request has a quick and urgent response to its maintenance. Thanks for your usual support towards Yambio Football.”.

The stadium underwent ground renovation in 2018 after the surface was barely without grass, something which prompted the local FA to shift the local matches to Yambio Freedom Square.
The stadium has recently hosted the 2019/2020 group D, South Sudan Cup games, with Nile City FC the eventual finalists were joined by Nasir FC of Munduri and Tiger FC of Maridi.
