The South Sudan national football governing body South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) has been ranked at number eight in the just researched social network followers’ statistics results on Sunday 31st May 2020, with SSFA only having 18,000 followers across all the social media platforms.
It should be noted that South Sudan Football Association has only two social media platforms which are twitter and Facebook respectively registering non presence in other social media network like instagram.
The research was carried by the Tanzania Football Association Media Department to find out which football association has the most following across the CECAFA regional football federations and associations, it was a collection from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter platforms.
The Council of East and Central Africa Football Association is composed of twelve FA Countries which included: South Sudan FA, Uganda FA (FUFA), Sudan FA, Tanzania FA, Somalia FA, Eritrea FA, Djibouti FA, Rwanda FA, Burundi FA, Djibouti FA, Ethiopia FA and Zanzibar FA.
In the research Tanzania Football Federation emerged number one with an overall following 932,000, with Uganda having 203,000, Kenya followed with 87,000 and Ethiopia followed with 42,000 respectively.
It should be noted that most association are now using the social media platform to market their brands something the South Sudan Football Association has not taken it into another temple with some of their followers always kept waiting for more updates.
