In a bit of bringing new faces into the national U-20 technical team, the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) coaching Committee has confirmed the appointment of former senior national coach Mr Felix Bilal Komoyange as head coach of the national U-20 team during a reshuffle of the technical team for South Sudan U-20 and U-17 National teams.
The committee which is headed by Abd Al-Rahman Chol stated that the new technical team for South Sudan U-20 will be headed by Coach Bilal Felix as head coach, South Korean Lim Hung as the General Coach, Nichola Peter Orat as Fitness Coach, Charles Sebit Gisai as goalkeeping Coach, Besensio Charles as the Team Manager and Deng Malik as Team’s Kit manager.
SSFA also confirmed that the national team U-17 technical staff will be headed by Albino Simon Ajak as Head Coach and will be assisted by Ramadan Juma, John Garang as Fitness Coach, and Shaker Selim as the team’s goalkeeping coach respectively.
According to the statement released by the South Sudan national football governing body, the team manager for U-17, Kit manager and the U-20 Assistant Coach shall be appointed later in the due course.
In a contradicting statement on 16 September 2020, SSFA initially stated that the U-20 will be headed by coach Simon James as head coach and a number of new staff into the technical team, a decision which did not go well with the Coaches committee chairperson. Richard Justin and Thomas Jacob were part of the confirmed names on the 16th September 2020.
However the Coaching Committee has apologized to both Richard Justin and Thomas Jacob for their removal from the Technical Teams of U-20 and U-17, after they had been named to join the technical team of the aforementioned teams.
Abdel-Rahman thanked the outgoing members for their patients and assured them of inclusion in the SSFA Coaching Committee, promising to create training chances for them to upgrade their technical skills to be fully qualified.
Richard Justin and Thomas Jacob expressed their full readiness to work with the SSFA Coaching Committee, expressing their firm desire to work in the field of training.
It should be noted, the national team U-20 will take part in the upcoming CECAFA U-20 competition which will likely be staged in Khartoum Sudan in December 2020.
