SSFA National Team Committee Chairman Confirms South Sudan Readiness to Face Cameroon In October

The Chairperson of the national teams committee Joseph Louis Abduallah has confirmed on Wednesday 23rd September that the South Sudan Bright Stars will be ready to face Cameroon Intermediate team in a friendly amicably. 

Mr. Abdullah confirms also told the media during the South Sudan national team friendly game against Amarat United FC two players from the Aweil Local League and two from Uganda have joined the team that evening, with two more to be arriving from Kenya. The players will join the pre-camp training ahead of the friendly match against Cameroon in Yaounde.

Joseph added that the player of the Sudanese Club Hai Al-Arab, Godfrey, will arrive in Juba in order to catch up with other players at disposal. Moreover Wol Makueth and Wani Ivan Marcello for Mbarara City FC and Busoga United FC are currently with the team in Juba. 

Joseph said this during the South Sudan national team friendly match that was held on Wednesday evening at Buluk Training Center pitch against Amarat United Club , where the match ended 2-1 in favor of the national team. The two teams are expected to play a second leg on Sunday 27th September 2020. 

It should be noted that South Sudan will play Uganda in a group B African Nations Cup qualifiers double header of day 3 and 4 in November 2020. 

It should be noted that the Bright Stars which started training on Sunday 13th September, 2020 will be flying to Yaounde Cameroon for a 10 days camping before playing the Cameroon Team A ( Intermediate Lions) in an international friendly, the Bright Stars will also play PWD Bamenda on the 07th October, 2020 in a warm up friendly game before facing the Intermediate Lions on 10th October 2020.
