Goals from Nchindo John Bosco have helped Cameroon Elite champions PWD social Club of Bamenda to return to winning ways in their ongoing preparations for the upcoming season.
The Abakwa Boys made light work of the South Sudanese national selection this Wednesday at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Annex Stadium in Yaoundé-Cameroon.
A first-half brace from Nchindo John Bosco set the boys of coach David Pagou on their way to victory.
Though the home side dominated the opening exchanges, South Sudan had the first real chance of the game forcing goalkeeper Haschou Kerrido of PWD of Bamenda to save from a close range header in the 17th minute.
Six minutes later, PWD of Bamenda came close to scoring benefiting from a defensive error from the Sudanese but unfortunately squandered the chance.
29th minute into the game, Nchindo John Bosco in an unusual center forward role galloped into space in the box to put PWD on the lead.
Six minutes later, PWD won a penalty which was calmly converted by Nchindo John Bosco to double his tally for the day. At two-nil PWD was cruising, with the scoreline staying at two-nil till half-time.
South Sudan hit the woodwork five minutes into the second half through forward Tito Okello. However PWD of Bamenda took control of the game putting together.
The game stayed on the same score till the 91st minute when Vincent Paul Ngondi benefitted from a pass clear on goal to make it three nil.
PWD Bamenda team Coach David Pagou clashed with South Sudan showed all signs of readiness to jump powerfully into the coming football season and to prove themselves as holders of the Elite one championship is non-negotiable.
The second half of the game was mostly dominated by the Bright stars side but Pagou’s boys didn’t relent their efforts. PWD is preparing for the CAF Champions League and 2020/2021 football seasons.
South Sudan national football team will face Cameroon Intermediate Team A on Saturday 10th October 2020 before meeting them again on Wednesday 13th October 2020 at the Omini Complex Stadium.
