The President of South Sudan Football Association (SSFA), Mr. Francis Amin and his Deputy, Mr. Venasio Amum on Thursday 22nd October 2020 received a delegation of the newly elected executive bodies for Juba, Wau, Awiel and Kuajok Local Football Associations and briefed them on the current affairs of the Association.
Mr. Francis Amin says the meeting was basically centered on cooperation between SSFA and the Local Football Associations in order to improve their work efficiency towards development of football in the country. He gave detailed explanations of the general situation and workflow within the National Association and challenges. Mr Amin acknowledged the delegation for responding to the invitation to attend and also congratulated them for gaining trust of the general assemblies that elected them, urging them to work hard to meet the needs of the local federations.
On his part, Mr. Jock Wol thanked Mr. Francis for the invitation, saying that the meeting was successful and it dealt with a number of issues concerning football in his local association.
In a separate note, Mr. Lino Magok, Chairperson of the Kuajok Local Football Association assured his readiness to work with the administration of SSFA, stressing that the Kuajok Local Football Association will support and stand with SSFA towards developing football in South Sudan.
Meanwhile, the newly elected Chairman of the Juba Local Football Association, Mr. John Ladu, said the aim of the visit is to address issues of mutual interest between the SSFA and the Local Football Association of Juba, assuring that Juba Local Football Association is ready to cooperate with SSFA towards achieving its goal of taking sport more especially football in the country.
John Ladu was elected on Tuesday 20th October, 2020 by 27 votes to 49 beating his other 3 contenders for the top seat.
The delegation was later hosted for a luncheon at Davinci Hotel on Thursday 22nd October, 2020 at 7:0)pm.
