The South Sudan U-20 team who have been moved to Arusha Tanzania since Wednesday 9th November 2020 ahead of the CECAFA Zonal U-20 qualification round has so far had a tremendous preparation ahead of the Zonal qualifiers.
The Day 1, & 2 has been awesome with the South Sudan U-20 who are currently in Arusha Tanzania ahead of the AFCON Zonal U-20 regional qualifiers according to the one of the officials with the team in Tanzania.
The boys have been involved in both morning and evening training sessions to relieve their minds and bring their fitness levels back.
The South Sudan National Team U-20 are currently training at Aga Khan University Campus in Arusha.
According to the head of delegation, the South Sudan U-20 team on day 3, they will probably conduct a practice match on Sunday 15th November, 2020 with Arusha FC a first division team based in Arusha Tanzania.
The AFCON U-20 Qualifiers will be hosted by Tanzania between 22nd November to 6th December 2020. South Sudan is pooled in group B alongside Uganda , Burundi and Eritrea
A: Tanzania, Rwanda, Somalia and Djibouti.
B: Uganda, Burundi, Eritrea, South Sudan
C: Ethiopia lies with Kenya and Sudan.
In 2019, Tanzania beat Kenya 1-0 during the final played at the FUFA Technical Center, Njeru in Buikwe District, Uganda with John Otieno Onyango’s own goal deciding the final result of the game.
Only one team that emerges as champion will qualify to represent the East and Central Africa zone (CECAFA) at next year’s AFCON U-20 tournament in Mauritania.
