CECAFA U-20 Zonal Qualifiers Tanzania 2020: Philip Task To Look For Goals Upfront As Lual Is Sidelined

As the South Sudan U-20 team will be having a complete mision to make it for the first time in the Zonal AFCON U-20 qualifiers against host Tanzania, Buddo Senior Secondary School lanky forward Philip Angelo Taban Biajo has been tasked to hunt for goals for the Bright Stars U-20 team this afternoon.

Taban was immediately identified by coach  Simon James Yor after his great performance against the Burundi U-20 team on Friday where he scored an 89th goal to make it 4-0 to South Sudan.  He came in as a substitute for injured Mathare United FC forward Lual Daniel Gumnok who picked a groin injury during the 4-0 win against Burundi. 

The Bright Stars U-20 team will be looking forward to penetrate past host Tanzania to make it to the finals and face fellow group B leaders Uganda Hippos who beat Kenya 3-1 in the first semi final match played at the Black Rhino Academy in Karatu. 

The South Sudan U-20 Team will be donning their green Jersey  while the Tanzania U-20 will be donning their traditional  blue today 30th November, 2020 and kick off will be at 3:30pm at the Black Rhino Academy Stadium.

It will be the 2nd Semi Final game of the 2020 CECAFA Zonal U-20 Qualifiers, with the Kenya and Uganda game ending in a 3-1 win for  the Uganda Hippos

Tanzania led group A, Uganda (B) and Kenya championed C, with South Sudan qualifying as the best second placed country.

Meanwhile the eliminated Countries are Djibouti, Somalia, Burundi, Ethiopia and Sudan and are all expected to return to the respective home countries.
