South Sudan Cup 2021: Al Rabita FC Juba To Start Title Defense Against Al-Merreikh FC Juba.

The Juba Local Football Association 2020 South Sudan Cup holders Al Rabita FC will start their title defense against 2018 South Sudan Cup winners Al Merreikh FC Juba, As Kator FC Juba To Face Amarat United FC
This was confirmed in a draw conducted by Juba Local Football Association on Monday 18th January 2021 at the Juba Women’s Union building in Hai Neem.

The Church owned Rabita FC Juba were crowned Juba Local Football Association South Sudan Cup winners at Buluk playing ground on 8th, October 2019 after beating previous 2017 winners Al Hilal FC Juba by 2-1 with Ding Ding Thong and Jada being the goal scorers for Al Rabita FC.
The draw also showed that 2019 South Sudan Cup winners Amarat United FC will face Kator FC Juba, a fixture which will witness four first division clubs paired together. Other games will see Munuki FC Juba taking on Nyakuron FC Juba at Munuki playing ground on Wednesday 27th January 2021, as the Malakia FC and Juba City FC fixture will be played at Buluk Training Center on Friday 29th January 2021 at 4pm.
Meanwhile, in the other fixtures of the 2021 South Sudan Cup two second division outfits Citizen FC takes on Zal Zal FC while Kabo FC faces Kamiru FC as the Gudele based teams each look for a slot in the next round of the tournament.
A total of 32 teams will be involved in the Juba Local Football Association, 2021 South Sudan Cup, with 12 teams in the first division, with the 20 coming from the 2nd and 3rd division competitions respectively. Kamiru FC and Gumbo FC will be some of the 3rd division teams to watch in the tournament.
The tournament kickoff on Sunday, January 24, 2021. The Juba Local Football Association has selected three pitches ahead of the tournament, which includes the newly improved Buluk Training Center, Jamus Playing Ground and the famous Munuki playgrounds among others.

The winner of the South Sudan Cup in the Juba Local Football Association will represent the local FA in the national competition which will be organised by the national football governing body (SSFA) in May 2021. The national champion will then represent South Sudan in the CAF Confederation Cup 2021 preliminary round.
