Juba Local FA,South Sudan Cup 2021: Gudele FC Juba Humiliated Al Hilal FC Juba To Book Their Quarter Final Slot

Gudele FC Juba pulled a rear spectacular display and performances at Buluk Training Center on Saturday 30th January 2021, as they became the first Division One club to booked a slot in the 2021 South Sudan Cup quarter final after beating Al Hilal FC Juba by 3-0. 

The Gudele based team walked into the second after taking the lead on the 17th minutes through Wanyang William after a decent cross from Baakni Talafun to slot into the back of the net.

The game which showed Gudele FC Juba missing lots of chances upfront due to inadequate coordination upfront during the entire minutes of the first half took coach Simon Lasu and his technical team to make a few decisions by introducing fresh legs into the game.

Jimmy Longa and James Okeny were introduced in the second half for Simon’s troops to gang up and finish the mission, with Jimmy becoming the talk of the stadium after having a touch on the second and third goals scored by the team.

Longa’s performance in the few minutes was exceptional as per the testimony of most of the fans who watched him at Buluk Training Center. The young promising talented attacking midfielder clearly dribbled into the 18 yard box for forward Robino Obeni Along to score on the 68th minutes of the game, Obeni doubles the his tally to two goals on the 78th minute after the interval through yet again a cross from Longa who made two assist. Hilal FC Juba who did not come close to the South Sudan Senior Team and U-20 third choice goal stopper Nasir Haider other than off target chances.

Coach Simon Lasu who looked relaxed and had smiles on him and his technical team which consisted of assistant coach Samule Mabior, Emmanul Taban and Isaac Gabriel after their troops scored the 3rd goal.

After their 3-0 win against Al Hilal FC Juba in the round of 16, Gudele FC Juba will now face City FC in the Juba Local Football Association South Sudan Cup 2021 edition.

In the other games played on Saturday 30th January 2021, City FC beat promising Simba FC Juba by 3-1 in a game which was played at Jamus playing ground with goals from Apin, Charles Ladu and Wajaras on the 29th, 54th and 79th minutes sailed Simba into the 2021 South Sudan Cup quarter finals. Meanwhile Buluk Imtidad FC beat first division club Viva Stars FC by a single goal to zero.
