SSFA Given Green Light To Resume Football Activities Under Strict Rules & Guidance

The South Sudan government through the national taskforce on COVID  _19 on their communication from the presidency number twenty six (26) on 9th December 2021 has permitted the South Sudan Football Association a special consideration granting them to conduct the Training of the National Football Team, Continue with the planned Women’s league and the games of the South Sudan Cup 2021 country wide.

In the communique released by the national football governing body dated 10th February 2021 and seen by this website, SSFA stated that any Local Football Association (LFA) that does not follow the guidelines issued by the COVID_19 national taskforce for the resumption of football activities including the South Sudan Cup will risk be suspended from all football activities, however the national body governing did not reveal the length of the suspension.

SSFA has also urged the strict adherence to the  COVID_19 preventative and protective measures and guidelines, as mentioned in the press release issued by the government, they also stated that football games must be conducted without audience and following the COVID_19 protocols. Wearing of face masks will be a must especially organizing committee members, members from the media and other related club officials.

It should be noted that, in accordance with the public order from the Vice Presidency and the Chairman of the national taskforce on Corona Virus Pandemic; Public Order Number 001/2021 dated 3rd February 2021 which reads as follows; Ban of all social gathering including sporting events during the national lockdown, The National Task-force has however granted special permission to the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) to conduct football activities.
