South Sudan group C opponents for the 2021 upcoming CECAFA U-23 Challenge Cup Kenya have named a total of 23 man squad that will represent the country in the competition in Ethiopia
The Emerging Stars squad consist of two goalkeepers, Seven Defenders, Eleven Midfielders and Three Strikers.
They have also included Boniface Muchiri (Tusker FC), and Bernard Ochieng (Gor Mahia) among the three senior players (above 23 years).
Kenya in group C alongside South Sudan and Djibouti. While Group A has Uganda, Tanzania and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) with Group B consisting of Ethiopia, Burundi and Eritrea.
It should be noted that Sudan, Somalia did not confirm their participation with Rwanda pulling out due to COVID_19 as per the statement from the Rwanda Football Federation.
The upcoming CECAFA U23 Challenge will be held in Ethiopian City of Bahir Dar.
