Arua based newly promoted Uganda Premier League club Arua Hill Sports Club have on Saturday 7th August 2021 confirmed that they have continued with thier reinforcement mission and have acquired the services of lanky defender Rashid Toha Freedom ahead of the 2021-2022 season.
Known by their famous name “Kongolo”, the West Nile based club since it’s promotion into the premier league has been looking for experienced and young players into the squad too and they identified the towering defender Toha Rashid as one that suits the clubs philosophy.
Toha who previously played for another Arua based club Onduparaka Football Club left Vipers Sports Club on mutual consent to join the league newcomers, having his playing time at Vipers dented with lots of injuries.
Vipers Sports Club on Monday 9th August 2021 were able to confirm through their social media platforms about the departure of the player ” Vipers SC can confirm Rashid Toha completed a transfer to new league entrants, Arua Hill SC. Thank you for your time & all the best at your new club, Toha Rashid”
The six feet defender has joined the likes of Ivan Eyam, goalkeeper Rogers Omedwa, Innocent Maduka among others into the club ranks.
In June 2021, former South Sudan National Team head coach Ashu Cyprian Besong called Toha into the South Sudan Bright Stars squad to be part of the aborted FIFA Arab Cup pre qualification round against Jordan, a fixture which was forfeited as the South Sudan delegation were all isolated due to COVID_19 cases found from some of the team members.
While in South Sudan before moving on to Adjumani, Toha played for Juston FC at the Nimule Local League that was early 2014, and had his time taken to play in Torit during a pre Qualification match, thereafter he moved to Adjumani for greener pastures.
The hopeful central defender however is yet to don the South Sudan national team colors during an international competitive match.
