Free Agent Omot Sebit Signs For Alamal Atbara FC As Athir, Sabri Finds New Clubs In Sudan

South Sudan senior national footballer and former Merriekh Juba FC left back Omot Sebit David has signed for Alamal Atbara of Sudan, he joins the club on a free transfer. 

Omot has has come to light through the ranks of Merreikh Juba FC has so far featured in a CAF Confederations Cup  for his former club in 2018 aganist Green Buffalos of Zambia under the guidance of then and  current national team under 23 coach Mr. James Simon Yor. 

Alamal Atbara FC which finished 4th in the 2019/2020 Sudan Premier League season will be representing Sudan in the 2020/2021 CAF Confederations Cup preliminary round and will face KVZ Sports Club Zanzibar.

Omot who becomes the second South Sudan senior national team player to have joined the club after forward Aluk Akech Mabior. Both Omot and Aluck are part of Ashu Cyprian Besong’s troops to face Uganda in the Total Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers match day 3 at St Mary’s Stadium on Thursday 12th November 2020. 

On the other hand South Sudannational team player Athir Thomas Magor has signed for Sudan’s second division club Alfalah Atbara FC on a one year deal. The utility defender joined the club as a free agent after his contract with Haya Al Wadi SC came to an end.

Athir has been part of the South Sudan national team squad in the 6-0 win against Djibouti on 28 March 2017 at Juba Stadium, Africa Cup of Nations preliminary qualification round, the player was on the score sheet. 

The centre back who started his professional career in 2008 with Al-Mourada SC in Sudan has now played for 8 clubs among others including Al Hilal Omdurman, Al Ahli Khartoum and Al Fahaheel SC. 

Alfalah Atbara FC has now accommodated two South Sudanese senior national team players including Thok Kouang Kerijok who joined them from Al Hilal Kaudougli on a free transfer. 

Sabri Mutawakil is also another member of the South Sudan national football team set up who has signed for a club in the Sudan Premier League.

The Former Amarat United FC forward has signed a one year deal with Ahli Marawi SC. He was part of the Bright Stars team who went to Cameroon and played two winless friendly matches with the Cameroon intermediate team. 

Sabri was part of Amarat United FC squad who played US Ben Guerdane in the 2019 CAF Confederations Cup match, with Amarat United losing 5-1 in aggregate results. 

The forward was so instrumental for his former clubs tremendous performances in the 2019/2020 Juba Local League, with the club leading the league table before the league was later called off due to COVID_19 global pandemic.
