The South Sudan Athletics Federation (SSAF) secretary general Mr. Marco Akol has confirmed to Kurrasports.com that South Sudanese athlete Yach Majok has been invited to participate in a one day High Altitude (HAT) game.
According to the organizers the games will take place on Sunday 20th September, 2020 at the Sebei College Field, Uganda and will start at 8:00am East Africa Time.
The event which will have money attached to each race, will include 1,500 meters and 5,000 meters for both men and women. The event is being organised by High Altitude Training of Arizona Corps 4446 E, Savannah.
Yach Majok will be participating in the 1,500 meters race alongside other invited athletes into the event and he has been allocated the 032 running number by the event organizers.
It should be noted that athlete Yach Majok was part of the 10 South Sudan Athletes selected on Sunday 9th February 2020 that was to represent South Sudan in African Cross Country Championship in Lome Togo in April 2020, an event which was called off due to the coronaVirus pandemic.
All the athletes were selected during the 2nd South Sudan National Cross Country in Buluk, with all the participants coming in from all the states as per confirmation from the SSAF Secretary General.
